You really want to declare war on Islamic terrorism?

If we really want to fix it, to get at the source of these ideas and the funds behind them, Saudi Arabia should be the one everyone declares war against. Their Wahhabi extremism, state enforced through crucifixions, floggings and beheadings, and their money is what is common to ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, and the Taliban, in their various incarnations. The only reason we haven't done so is the deal between the US and the Saudi's that guarantees oil for security, and impunity. They were the only ones allowed to fly, to escape the US on 911. As long as their poison, that of a theocratic monarchy, as anachronistic as you can get, is allowed to fester and spread, we will never make a dent in the Islamist movement. You can't stop cancer spreading without attacking the original tumor.

But we, especially the US, will never turn on our drug dealer. We'd rather turn on ourselves first.
