Socialism doesn't work? Low taxes are all-important? Governments are necessarily inept, corrupt, and unresponsive? Higher education is not a right and cannot be free?

Look north for the answers not to "the west". America is a disaster that has led most of the world into disaster after disaster. Denmark is the happiest place on Earth.

He is the Articles Review Editor for Canada’s leading peer-reviewed law journal in the field, the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal.  In 2010, he was awarded the Morley Gunderson Prize in Industrial Relations by the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources for outstanding professional achievement and service to Canadian industrial relations.  He has been awarded over $100,000 in competitive grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in the past 7 years for his work on labour practices governance within global supply chains and labour and employment law.  In 2012, Doorey’s Law of Work Blog was honoured with the Fodden Award for the Best Law Blog in Canada.
