Drones as they are currently being used by the U.S. under direction of the CIA are not a "clean" method of warfare. As I see it, drone strikes are a "dirty" method of assassination, the targeted killing of specific individuals with no risk to the assassin and a great deal of collateral damage.
The war on terror is not a war. Terror is not an entity but an endless excuse for torture, assassination, spying on your own people, holding people indefinitely in secret, and generally degrading rights and freedom. Trying to kill fear by fostering it in your citizens is a collar that if allowed to tighten will choke us all.
