I find it interesting that none of these so-called austerity measures, in any country that I can think of, include raising taxes on the wealthy, on capital gains or inheritance, or on corporations, especially those in the financial industry. Everyone has to sacrifice except those whose neo-liberal Utopianism and corruption are actually responsible for the financial crises. And they show no signs of admitting they were wrong and trying something different. Just more steam ahead toward the iceberg. As Einstein said, "Repeating the same actions and expecting different results is a definition of insanity." Who is the greater fool, the fool or the ones that follow him? It's time for the world to stop being foolish.
